My new apron & stuff

Just wanted to share a few things with you today.
Remember this Apron from Sugar Pie Farmhouse? I think it is so cute! You can't buy it anymore so I decided to try my hand at making one.

So I made mine in red. I have been wanting a red apron as my kitchen has red accents. I made it in 3 hrs. It took 1 3/4 yards of fabric and 3 pks of binding. The fabric is red with sm white pok a dots on it. I added a pocket on it too. It was pretty simple to make. My hubby really likes it! I love it when he is pleased with the things that I make. Boy, my wide screen monitor sure makes me look wide and everything else. That is the one draw back about it. But I can see things on it better and clearer.

This is my little chalk board in my kitchen. Hubby loves to know what is for dinner! I keep my salt and pepper in a sm little red wagon I got at ace hardware store. I know those walls need some color but we are hoping to move this yrs so someone else will have to do it for their taste.
These are my canisters that I keep my Gluten Free flour, crackers and grits in. I love tea cups but I also love the tea mugs that are hanging. I use them most of the time.

This is one of my favorite things too! It is a ceramic white basket we use as a fruit basket. I got it at a yard sale from a friend several yrs ago for $10. I think I need to go to the store tomorrow and buy some fruit and fill it up, only one apple left!!

I don't have a lot of country things right now in this kitchen but hope to have a few more in my next kitchen. It is fun to look at yard sales now and then for things like that. Well that is it for today.
I hope you all have a blessed day!! Sharon

Love the apron. The chalkboard is great. Did you have to order the special chalk online or is it available in stores? Are the canister tops painted with the plastic paint or did you buy them that way. I guess I am full of questions today.

Hi Sharon! I tried posting earlier but it went blank. :( Thanks for visitng my blog! How neat that you lived in Gardnerville! When I first moved here in 2000 I thought 'this is so Norman Rockwell!' I bet lots has changed since the 70's. I'm not related to your friend,Loagan is actually the name of our daughter, the horse training and lessons part of our ranch is her little business.

I love your apron. I can't wait to read through your blog some more! ELizabeth
