MORE THINGS DONE

I was reading this story written by Chuck Swindoll about Charles Schwab and Ivy Lee. He says" Schwab was president of Bethlehem Steel, a consultant, was given the usual challenge: "Show me a way to get more things done with my time." Schwab agreed to pay him " anything" if Lee's suggestion worked. Lee later handed the executive a sheet of paper with the plan:
Write down the most important tasks you have to do tomorrow.
Number them in order of importance.
When you arrive in the morning begin at once on No.1 and stay on it until it is completed.
Recheck your priorities, then begin with No.2 . . .then No3.
Make this a habit every working day. Pass it on to those under you.
Try it as long as you like, then send me your check for what you think it's worth.

That one idea turned Bethlehem Steel Corp. into the biggest independent steel producer in the world within five years.
How much did Schwab pay his consultant? Several weeks after receiving the note, he sent Lee a check for $25,000, admitting it was the most profitable lesson he had ever learned."
He says to try it yourself. It works great.

Just another thought on how we can be a little more productive with our time.
Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, Not as the unwise and witless, but as wise-- sensible, intelligent people; Making the very most of the time-- buying up each opportunity-- because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is. (Eph.5:15-17 Amplified Bible)
Have a great day in the Lord!!

This is such an encouragement to use our time wisely!! Thank you for sharing this list!

I saw that you came by my old Xanga page, Sharon! Thank you!! I'm trying to re-connect with some old friends there ... I've missed it, too. Never have really felt at home here on Blogger, although I love the format compared to Xanga. I'll still keep my site for the few friends I do have here. Seems everyone has moved to Facebook. I do have one, but only to stay in touch with family members and a few close friends. I do hope your doing well ... it's been awhile since I've been by, and I see you haven't posted much either. I've always enjoyed hearing from you!! You have a blessed weekend! ~ Deborah <><
