As we think about Valentines Day that is coming soon, a day when we are suppose to show our loved ones that we love them in some way. I read this definition;
"The power of love is bound up in its actions, it's choices, day in and day out, to seek the very best for the another person without the expectation of anything in return". How are we doing on that one? I find if I am praying for them and asking the Lord to help me to do what is best for them, He gives me the insight and strength to do just that! But when those, what about me feelings, and selfish attitudes come creeping in then I can not do it. We can not love others in a Godly way in our flesh. It is when His love is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. It is only by remaining filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph.5:18) that we can remain filled with God's love. His love never fails! We have to have His spirit love them through us. It is a choice! May we all choose to want the very best for others, to meet their needs, just as Christ does for us daily! Let us pray, be filled and show others we love them. 1 Corithians.13 I just have to say here as a last word, I have a hubby that is the best example of God's love that I know. I can not tell you how thankful and blessed I am. He is always there for me no matter what!
God's love and blessings to you!! Sharon
