Karen (our daughter ) and I have been working on starting a new ladies home bible study group. We are going to take Karla's 5 point series; Beyond the book bible study suggestions for our bible study format .
These are the guidelines of what we will be doing. We will meet once a week. On the 1st and 3rd weeks we will do our bible study. We will be going through the classic book "A Christian's Secret to a Happy Life", this is an EXCELLENT and old book, We will be using the study guide that goes with it.
On the 2nd week will be Fellowship and Fun: this is where we will spend some time together having a little fun and getting to know each other better. We will do things like a craft, baking or decorating, meeting for breakfast or coffee, etc,
On the 4th week will be Outreach and Service: This is where we will do something for someone else in our community, Putting our faith into action we will help out someone who is ill, or in need , send care pkgs to Iraq, bake for the fire dept. or police with a thank you note, clean for an elderly person, paint someone's living room, etc, etc. We will do this as a group.
It will be exciting to see the many gifts and ideas the Lord has given to the other ladies and of course see them grow in the Lord .
