It is getting so cool now at night and our days in the 70's that I am sure this is the last of the roses for this yr. But I should have a lot more next yr since this was the first yr for them to bloom. I will be looking forward to that.
I thought I would show you this pitcher set that was my mothers. I believe it is 1930s and it is a type of Carnival glass, I think. It is lead glass and is very heavy. I have always loved it. I only have a few things that belonged to my Mom. I am glad this is one of them. I remember as a little girl that it was kept at my Grandmothers house. Because we lived in a trailer and travel a lot as my Dad was a contractor for the railroad. But it made it's way back to my Mom. She pass away in 94. So I have had it for a long time.
I know I am always changing stuff here, I like this one too, and will save the other background I had up for Oct.

Yes I love that pitcher too! I always remember that in Grandma's house when we visited her, it was so pretty I always liked to look at it.
Your roses are sure gorgeous! I can't believe you were able to get such nice roses the very first year , out of those "sticks" you planted! :)
